Plane Ticket Design
Existing printed plane tickets, see below, are designed in a cluttered and hard to read way. Personally, I think that the mobile ticket design, see below again, is better organized and easy to read. As I was redesigning the plane ticket, I found it difficult to fit all the necessary information in a way that was easy to read and not cluttered. I think that my redesigned ticket is still very cluttered. I did not want to omit information that might have been important. I decided to slightly change the font size based on what was important. I bolded the standard information so that it would catch the passengers eyes when they were trying to find what they were looking for and I italicized the gate, seat, and zone because that is usually the most important information. Passengers tend to know where they are going and around what time they are leaving, but the seat, zone and gate numbers are not as known.
