I chose to analyze the movie poster for the movie, The Lobster. Although I’ve never seen the movie, I like the composition of the poster. The use of white/blank space contrasted with grey-scale color provides a nice overall balance. The poster is sectioned off between the graphic of the movie and the text. The poster is composed in toward the center and limited at the margins. The text and graphic are proportioned to provide to balance off the blank space and details of the poster.

The palette follows a grey color palette, ranging from off-white to true black. The color palette makes the poster seem very simple, but the detail in the graphic is actually quite complex.

I believe the font type used was a geometric sans-serif. The modern font type is very interesting in contrast to the grainy image.
